Today I woke up again kind of tired. Well, at 9 o'clock were my son and I playing basket and me coaching the Kvarnby kids. Great way to warm up the day!
Well.... it went a little bit too warm as I had a discussion with a coach colleague. Well, after a nice and energy fylled discussion a great run comes really naturally! :)
I contacted my friend Niclas the day before and just before 2pm we were on the way to.... I don't know! Don't ask us that! The answer might be like: "There!" and the shaky finger pointing somewhere "there" towards the woods and hills. We never plan our trails..... we just run. The only goal is to get back after a certain amount of km that we feel is kinda "OK" that particular day! :)
I needed to push myself today and I needed to do something different: on with my Merrell Trail Glove 2 and I wanted actually to break my 15km previous record. That's all.... 15km! Guess what... something went "wrong"! The weather was just "too good to be true"!
So we hit the trail offroading right from the beginning. A nice soft trail running uphill... just lovely! After a few km the trail went from moderate muddy/wet to.... water/wet... and I just wanted to getout of there. The freezing water was not really planned.... I mean, I don't mind that, but come on.... on each and every run the same wetty feeling?! Well.... after a few minuted we changed our "modus" from "I want to get out of here" to "what a lovely and great place to be"!
How is that possible?
Here is a camera caprure. Figure it out for yourself! :)
Yes, it was a great moose! :)
We tried to run after the animal.... No way, he just vanished away..... Well, we were actually veeeery slow and silet. You don't want to be in front of an angry moose! This one was quite huge! :)
After that our trail running went smooooothly.... we were just impressed by the beauty of the nature! Just WOW!
And yes.... we ran 25+km.... my new barefoot running record! ;)
