Recently I managed to be affected of "Plantar fasciitis" which is the most common cause of heel pain and is the inflammation and tearing of the fascia, a ligament on the bottom of the foot. It is classically known as causing pain at the inside of the heel at the first step in the morning.
Plantar fascitis is caused by abnormal foot mechanics in combination with poor quality shoes and overuse. I got my new shoes, bu the mechanics is something to work on.
I have to manage to get the tecnique on a better quality level in order to enjoy my runs! Maybe by forcing the foot to impact the ground differently... barefoot running is an interesting option to consider and maybe try this summer :)
I have to practice patience and flexibility... One way to do that is running in nature. The area around Gothenburg is fantastic and there is a fantastic variety of trancks....

If you want to learn more about Plantar Fascitis here is an interesting clip:

Now, this path I guess is going to be the last one to "check" my form before the GöteborgsVarvet Half Marathon on May the 17th 2014:

I guess i'll try the path on saturday the 10th of may. The idea is to start running in the morning..... We'll see if this is going to result in 1.5h of pain or 1.5h of nice and relaxing run in nature :)

Aramis
